Thursday, March 9, the final year students had to finalize the registration of their wishes on Parcoursup. They have until April 6 to finalize their file and send their cover letters. This is the subject of Talk franceinfo. Every evening from 6 p.m., Ludovic Pauchant and his guests debate with Internet users on the franceinfo Twitch channel.

The school year for high school students in the final year is marked by the baccalaureate but also for many, by the different phases of enrollment in higher education. Future baccalaureate holders or students in reorientation had until Thursday, March 9 to make their wishes on the national orientation platform Parcoursup. How do the students approach these different stages and what about the inequalities felt when faced with the platform?

Ludovic Pauchant receives Jerome Teillardproject manager in charge of Parcoursup at the Ministry of Higher Education and Sylvie Amicinational educational psychologist to discuss it. Gwenn Thomas Alvesnational delegate in charge of high school life at the FIDL is also in Le Talk de franceinfo.

An unfair selection?

Now that the students have been able to classify their requests for their favorite courses, it is time to complete their files and send their cover letters. However, the platform criticized for the lack of transparency of its algorithm has suffered a number of criticisms.

Indeed, the Parcoursup test seems to have supplanted that of the baccalaureate by concentrating the concerns of the final year students but also those of the parents and the supervising staff. Some denounce a platform that would sort more than it would guide.

Join us from 6 p.m. Monday to Friday on the franceinfo Twitch channel to participate in Ludovic Pauchant’s Talk. An hour of exchange, clarification, debate around topical and social issues.
